Delete your Bukshelf account.

You can permanently delete your Bukshelf account from the app or, if you no longer have access to it, right here on the web.

If you still have Bukshelf installed, this is the quickest way.

  1. 1.Open Bukshelf.
  2. 2.Go to Profile.
  3. 3.Tap the menu icon in the upper-right corner.
  4. 4.Open Settings.
  5. 5.Select Account & Security.
  6. 6.Tap Delete account.
  7. 7.Type DELETE to confirm.

Account deletion is permanent.

what happens when you delete your account?

Deleting your account permanently removes your Bukshelf profile and personal account data, including your library, private birthday, reading activity, book progress, custom shelves, reviews stored with your books, push-token records, and removable social connections.

Shared comments and group-reading messages may remain where needed to preserve an existing conversation, but your identity is replaced with “Deleted reader.”

  • If you created a Buddy Read and other readers are still actively participating, the room stays open and ownership passes to another participant.
  • If no other joined readers remain, the Buddy Read is removed.
